MAIN ENTRANCE (NATIONAL DRIVE)
Landscaping
Monument -Raise and regrade bed for better visibility and proper drainage.
(Highway 17) -Plant green ligustrum to right side of monument to fill in space.
-Plant shade-loving evergreens Holly Fern and Cast-Iron Plants at sides.
-Plant hedge of Dwarf Boxwood around perimeter of bed to contain plantings.
-Plant annuals in Spring and Fall mixed with Potato Vine.
-Prune loropetalum regularly to keep signage readable.
Fence/corner

-Replace one Savannah Holly in hedge on Hwy 17.
-Continue planting of annuals.
-Follow up on request that Legends remove dead palms behind fence.
-Follow up on request that Legends mirror plantings at CN side of entrance.

 
Nat’l Dr -Shape/remove select junipers.

 
right side

-Plant pittosporum removed from Gallery circle plus additional junipers.
-Prune up/remove select trees behind crape myrtle.
-Plant grasses at corner of Morgans Point Road, opposite monument.

 
Entry island 

-Plant additional ground cover under magnolias.
-Prune crape myrtles.
-Continue planting of annuals.

 
Monument 

-Continue planting of annuals.
-Prune loropetalum regularly to keep signage readable.

 
Middle Island -Remove 4 existing shrubs at sides of guardhouse.

 
(Guardhouse) 

-Add Formosa Azaleas to match Formosa Azalea in front of guardhouse.
-Relocate dwarf azaleas in front of guardhouse to pool end of island.
-Continue planting of annuals.
-Plant ground cover.
-Do selective pruning of trees.

 
Rear island

-Plant additional camellias.
-Remove “maverick” white azalea and transplant

 
elsewhere? -Plant additional Indian Hawthorn to current bed at Harleston end.
-Transplant azaleas at Harleston end elsewhere in

 
rear/middle islands.

-Plant perennials in place of azaleas at Harleston end.
-Plant ground cover.
-Do selective pruning of trees.

 
Nat’l Dr. -Continue care of magnolia trees, including feeding and selective pruning.
-Remove staking on trees to prevent damage to trunks, branches.
-Plant Variegated Privet behind Community Bulletin sign.
-Plant yellow Stella De Ora Daylilies and purple lantana in common area in front of CN 1 (cooperative project with Country Club)and do selective pruning of trees.

 
Irrigation  
 

-Extend irrigation to plantings at corner of Morgans Point Road opposite monument.
-Check for sufficient irrigation for entire entry area and adjust/add irrigation as needed.

 
Lighting  
 
-Add uplighting in middle and rear islands.

 
Maintenance  
 

-Arrange for weekly maintenance/cleaning of guardhouse by landscaper.
-Begin preventive termite treatment.
-Replace current wooden fence with vinyl fence.
-Encourage Legends to replace entry fence.
-Repaint signs.
 -Replace 4 metal exit signs with wooden signs
