At the March 3, 2005,
Annual Meeting, a homeowner suggested that the Board of Directors post
specific needs from the community on the website so that CNCA members
could learn when help is needed. The Board considers this an
excellent idea and will post this notice on the website. The Board
also will continue to use mass emails to Association members so that
property and home owners can be kept up-to-date on CNCA matters and
needs.
As requested,
following is a list of our current needs.
Architectural Review Committee (ARC).
Additional members are needed to serve on the ARC, particularly in the
St. Andrews and Westchester neighborhoods. ARC members work with
property and home owners who seek approval for new construction and home
and yard improvements. The members of the ARC also conduct monthly
tours to ensure that the community covenants and restrictions are being
followed. Contact ARC Chair
Domenic Grillo
if you wish to serve on this committee
Block
Captains. We are in need of additional
Block Captains who will visit members of the CN community to get
signatures on the petition to approve the proposed revision of the
Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions (C&Rs). To date, we have
procured approximately forty-five percent of the required number of
signatures. That’s only half of the ninety percent of property and
homeowners needed to approve the new C&Rs. If you are willing to
contact twelve to fifteen of your neighbors, contact Charmaine Gillow,
C&Rs/Block Captain Co-Chair (216-1275).
Hurricane
Plan. The Town recommends that each
subdivision design a hurricane plan. Over the last two years, the
Board of Directors has gathered information and done some networking
with neighboring communities. Although we have been fortunate not to
experience any storms so far this year, Katrina reminds us what
devastation can result from a major hurricane. Please consider serving
on a committee to help us put together a plan to contact homeowners and
to safeguard CN structures, lagoons, and common areas in the event of an
impending hurricane. Contact Mike McCurdy (971-9600) to volunteer
for this important task.
Please consider
volunteering for one or more of the above needs. We can also use
volunteers on other committees, including the Landscape and Irrigation
Committee. If you are unable to serve, please consider asking a neighbor
to help out since not every Association member is on the list to receive
Mass Emails.
Sincerely,
Your CNCA Board of
Directors
